Despite the initial resistance to Cryptocurrencies, much headway has been made, especially recently. The introduction of ETFs and other institutional-grade investment vehicles has been a long-awaited endorsement from the financial dinosaurs that govern financial markets. Being accepted into the “club” has positive and negative aspects. However, regardless of your opinion, adoption is happening and will continue to flourish well into the future.
What was once viewed as a threat to the monetary system is now being considered an upgrade to the economic system. This is the reality I alluded to in a recent article:
Ideas improve until they are replaced. Historically, these are powerful moments, as they mark the end of an era and the beginning of another.
It might be slow, but we are now witnessing the phasing out of the old system in favor of the new. Once again, this shift has benefits and shortcomings. Nothing is ever entirely positive, or for that matter, entirely negative.
