OKX has strengthened its leadership team by appointing Andrew M. Prior to his appointment to the board, Cuomo was the 56th Governor of New York state, New York state Attorney General and U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

ICE, New York Stock Exchange’s parent company, in March confirmed its strategic investment in OKX with an estimated market capitalization of $25 billion USD. Both companies announced a joint venture a couple of months later, to bridge the gap between traditional financial markets and blockchain.

Tokenization and AI Become Key Priorities

Cuomo is also co-chair of the OKX-ICE partnership that seeks to merge ICE’s exchange infrastructure and market data with OKX’s blockchain technology and self-custody solutions. It is expected that with regulatory permission, this initiative will bring token-based financial products to the reach of all the institutions.

In addition to tokenization, OKX recently launched its AI marketplace, OKX AI, that enables autonomous AI agents to explore tasks, interact with other agents, complete on-chain transactions, and create digital reputations.
