Uncover hidden locations, encounter other survivors with their own stories, and discover the secrets buried beneath the rubble of the old world. Traverse diverse biomes, each with its own unique set of dangers and opportunities.

Choose story mode or survival mode for two completely different experiences. Get engrossed in a thought provoking story or just simply survive as long as possible. How many days can you last?

Scavenge, gather, craft or trade essential tools and weapons to navigate the dangers that lie between you and surviving. From improvised shelters to essential supplies, every crafting choice is a step closer to mastering the art of survival. No inventory sorting. All your stuff is sorted automatically so you don’t have to waste your time flipping through pages of UI.

Encounter dangerous wildlife, other survivors, and desperate scavengers as you traverse the hazardous landscape. Gain XP that unlocks character upgrades and search for crucial supplies from every encounter. Everyone is fighting it out for the same resources.

Balance your basic needs – food, water, and shelter – while managing resources for the arduous journey ahead. Make strategic decisions that could mean the difference between life and death. Can’t find what you need to survive? Trade anything you find of value with the merchant. That includes things like jewelry, cigarettes, and even toilet paper. Things that were once taken for granted are much more valuable after the storm hits. Also no chopping down trees! That has been done enough in other games and kills the immersion. Honestly who chops down a whole tree with an axe in 3 swings? You can however chop fallen logs.

Category 6 is an upcoming survival game set during a gigantic hurricane plaguing half of the US. In this video, we have early access and try out the story mode. Despite its shortness, this game was pretty good… especially considering it was made by just one person!
